I think that we should work to distance our animal shelter from already existing animal control facilities. Perhaps we could give our company some distinguishing characteristics to create a more unique angle. Rather than the standard protocol where they just capture the animals and destroy them, maybe our company could research the animals in an effort to identify the specific disease and cure it. If anyone has any different ideas or could elaborate on this one just let me know.

I agree with Tim. I think we should try to portray our business as not only animal control where we just patrol areas and catch rabid and diseased animals, but also as a scientific research-based business. While our team members work to respond to calls and capture animals, we could also have a team of scientists specialized in animal disease research who are constantly working to come up with vaccines and cures. Also, when our team is not busy with responding to calls and patrolling, we will put aside some time to make fund-raising phone calls in order to raise money for medicine and other supllies as well as the salary of our scientists.

Just read your most recent emails - finally got CJ Nicoia's- very nice by the way. Have not received anything form Mark. I like the Chronic Wasting topic. I'm not sure where you are going with it. Tim said that you would be starting an organization - thats probably not doable in the next 2 weeks. The bill idea may be a future endeavor and fine if you have it done. Maybe the authorities that distribute hunting licenses are the ones to communicate with and suggest they give literature out to hunters. Perhaps p-ut together a pamphlet 8.5x11" trifold brochure on the disease and suggest if they see such an infected animal to kill it and report it to the authorities so they could test it and potentially earmark the area of infection and track the progression of the disease. I would track done those mysterious cases where hunters came done with a debilitating disease with symptoms like CJP. I remember reading about them - but they may be purposefully coverewd up to prevent a health scare. See you Fri - come as a group sometime between 9:15 and noon with a hard copy of what you've come up with as a group. I may give you suggestions to incorporate before you put it on line.
